One dead and two injured in shooting outside Midtown store

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting outside a Midtown store overnight.

Kansas City, Missouri police were called to a shooting at the corner of 39th and Central Avenue just before 3:30 a.m.

When they arrived, they found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An adult woman and an adult man were also found at the scene. They suffered gunshot wounds. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

Police have searched the area and are currently reviewing possible surveillance footage.
