Faulkner is currently subject to several release conditions, including not being around children under the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult who has received approval from his parole officer.

Police say Faulkner is at “an increased risk of re-offending” and his activities within the community are being monitored.

“The public is reminded that while Joeph Faulkner poses a security risk to the public, his rights are guaranteed by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms,” police said, justifying the issuance of this rare public warning as “a precautionary measure.”

Police issued a similar warning to the public when Faulkner was released from custody in Mississauga on April 2, 2023, after serving a prison sentence for several sex crimes.

But the “high-risk sex offender” was back in prison within a month for alleged theft and violations of his release conditions.

The police are again urging the public to “be cautious when encountering Faulkner.”

“Parents should be careful about their children’s activities and who they associate with,” police said.
