Watch as the murder of a young woman in front of her baby shakes her community to its core in The Real Murders of Atlanta [Exclusive]

The third season of Oxygen’s successful true crime series, The real murders of Atlantapremiered last week and for all those who are eagerly awaiting next week's story, Collider has an exclusive preview. The anthology The docuseries covers a new case every Saturday, and this week's episode is titled “Death in Powder Springs.” Our first teaser hints at the heartbreak that will unfold in the next episode, as the mysterious death of a young woman in the Atlanta suburbs rocks the entire Powder Springs community. This kind of thing doesn't happen on the quiet streets of the city, but when the 23-year-old mother is murdered in cold blood right in front of her young daughter, law enforcement is highly motivated to solve the case and bring the perpetrator to justice.

The first episode of The real murders of Atlanta Season 3 revolves around the incredible true story of a world boxing champion named Vernon Forrest who was murdered at a gas station. One of the most incredible parts of Forrest's story is his fight for survival and revenge as he pursued his pursuer, only to be struck down by a second attacker. As viewers discovered, the case was difficult for investigators to solve due to the victim's fame as a celebrated sports superstar.

After the broadcast of “Death in Powder Springs” this week, on Saturday, August 24, one episode remains in the popular oxygen third season of the show. The third and final story for this season of The real murders of Atlanta follows a pair of twins who will stop at nothing to bring their mother’s killer to justice. When Collider exclusive debut trailer We also revealed that the documentary series' second season saw an 8% increase in viewership for the latest episodes, so we're keen to see if that number has increased even further since the show's return.

A big weekend for Oxygen viewers

Together with the second episode of The real murders of AtlantaIn the third season of The Last Man, Oxygen audiences will also be treated to another incredible and harrowing docuseries this weekend: The girl on the milk carton. The Two-part project will follow the mysterious missing persons case that turned into a murder case. Jonelle Matthewswho was kidnapped from her family home in a small Colorado town in 1984 at the age of just 12. Decades later, the unsolved case was reopened and Matthews' killer was finally brought to justice.
