2 men killed in separate shootings in Northeast Philadelphia, police say – NBC10 Philadelphia

According to a Philadelphia police spokesman, two men have died following two shootings in Northeast Philadelphia. Both incidents are currently under investigation.

The first shooting occurred in the Kensington neighborhood at the intersection of Kensington Avenue and Tusculum Street, police said.

According to police, officers were called to the area just before 10:30 p.m. on Friday, August 23, on reports of a person with a weapon.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a man in his mid-30s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen, officials said. Officers took him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 11 p.m.

A second shooting incident occurred in the 2600 block of Rhawn Street, where officers were called just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, for a report of a person with a gun, police said.

Before police could arrive at the scene, a man in his late twenties was found with numerous gunshot wounds in a private vehicle at a nearby hospital, officials said.

According to authorities, the man was pronounced dead at around 2:41 a.m.

These shootings came just hours after a double shooting in North Philadelphia left a man dead and a boy injured and a man was killed by gunfire in Olney on Friday.
