CLAYMONT, Del. (CBS) – A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a man dead at the Harbor House Apartments in Claymont, Delaware, Friday morning.

New Castle County Police identified the man as 27-year-old Michael Toombs, who allegedly shot 35-year-old Devontre Taylor shortly before 10:30 a.m. near the 100 block of Harbor Drive in Claymont.

Police said Taylor, a Wilmington native, was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Investigators charged Toombs with murder, robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and other related charges, police said.

According to police, the SWAT team and crisis negotiation team responded to a report that the shooting suspect had entered one of the buildings in the complex and arrived in the 100 block of Harbor Drive.

Authorities said they arrested a man in the building, later identified as Toombs, who matched the description they were given.

Toombs was arraigned and taken to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington, police said.
