3 women injured in shooting at Nyack restaurant; suspect at large

Clarkstown police say they are searching for the gunman who injured three women during a late-night party at Cy's Restaurant and Lounge in Nyack.

According to police, shots were fired outside Cy's Restaurant and Lounge around 3 a.m. Saturday morning.

“My staff and security stayed behind to make sure everyone left the parking lot. The doors were closed when we heard two shots,” said co-owner Daniel Occena.

Clarkstown police said they found a woman on the ground outside the restaurant with gunshot wounds to her leg and stomach. She was taken to Montefiore Nyack Hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

The other two women, who suffered injuries but were not in danger of dying, drove themselves to the hospital, according to police.

According to police, the shooter was still at large on Saturday evening and the shooting appears to have been a random act of violence.

Clarkstown police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call them at 845-639-5840.
