YCSO investigates accident that killed Prescott woman

Officials with the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help in investigating a fatal crash that occurred on August 16.

In a statement, the YCSO said the accident involved a white 1995 Toyota 4Runner that fell off a cliff in the Thumb Butte area between 7:30 and 8 p.m.

“The accident scene was located on the Thumb Butte Loop, approximately two miles from the Copper Basin intersection,” the statement said.

According to the YCSO's initial statement, officers found the car about 1,000 feet down a steep mountainside. The victim was identified as 39-year-old Kristin Little of Prescott.

According to YCSO, investigators are “particularly interested in gathering any information on the Toyota 4Runner and any other vehicles that may have been involved or identifying any witnesses who may have seen the accident.”
