The tragic loss of tech titan Mike Lynch at sea

A tragedy rocked the tech world this week when the body of 18-year-old Hannah Lynch, daughter of well-known British tech entrepreneur Mike Lynch, was recovered from the wreckage of the Bayesiana superyacht that sank during a violent storm off the coast of Sicily. This loss hits not only the Lynch family hard, but also the community and industry they have impacted for decades.

The Bayesian was reported sunken nearly 50 meters under water after its mast, said to be one of the highest in the world, broke during the storm. Chaos erupted early Monday morning and prompted swift rescue efforts by the Italian Coast Guard.
