Man accused of murder taken to jail: Phoenix police

Phoenix police announced that an arrest has been made in connection with a knife attack earlier this week in which one man died.

In a statement released on the evening of August 24, police said that 36-year-old Christopher Rhodd was taken to prison on suspicion of premeditated murder after being released from hospital on Friday.

The incident occurred on August 19 at around 8 p.m. near 16th Street and Indian School Road.

“At around 8 p.m., officers were called to a stabbing near 16th Street and Indian School Road. When officers arrived, they found a man with a stab wound. The man was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” said Phoenix Police Sergeant Phil Krynsky.

The deceased victim was identified as 34-year-old Efren Partida.
