Prince George's classmate has a famous mother you may recognize

Prince George, the eldest son of Prince William and Kate Middleton, has grown into a confident boy who often accompanies his parents on official royal duties. The 11-year-old is currently enjoying his summer holidays at Lambrook School in Berkshire, where he studies alongside his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The royal children recently transferred to the school after previously attending the independent Thomas' School in Battersea, which charges an annual fee of £17,600. The move was prompted by the Wales family's move from London to Windsor to be closer to the King.

Despite his future role as royal, Prince George is treated like any other pupil at Lambrook, reports the Mirror. At his previous school, classes were small, with around 20 pupils each, and Prince George was not the only royal in his class.

His classmate was Maud Windsor, the eldest daughter of Lord Frederick Windsor, also known as Lord Freddie, whose father is Prince Michael of Kent, the Queen's cousin. Maud's mother, Sophie Winkelman, now Lady Frederick Windsor, is a successful Hollywood actress, best known for her role as Big Suze in Peep Show.

She has also starred in The Palace and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and is the sister of television presenter Claudia Winkleman, the Daily Record reports.

Their daughter Maud was born in August 2013, just a month after Prince George, and both children began their training with Thomas on the same day in September last year.

The couple married in 2009 at the Chapel Royal in Hampton Court, south-west London. Although neither the Queen nor Prince Charles were present on their big day, it was still a high-profile event with numerous celebrity guests.
