Israel calls for support in the fight against Hezbollah

Israel has appealed to the governments of dozens of countries around the world to request support in the fight against the Shiite movement Hezbollah, the Israeli Foreign Ministry reported on X, according to TASS.

The State Department statement said Foreign Minister Israel Katz had asked his counterparts to support Israel.

He pointed out that the Jewish state authorities had taken action after clear evidence confirmed an imminent attack and had “launched a preemptive strike to thwart it.”

Katz stressed that Israel was acting “to protect its citizens and its territory from the 'axis of evil' led by Iran, whose goal is the destruction of the Jewish state.”

“Israel does not seek total war and will act according to the development of events,” the ministry quoted him as saying.
