Jeremy Harrell, CEO of Veteran's Club Inc., is alleged to have received over $100,000 in benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. According to an indictment, he has been receiving unemployment benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs since 2011.

According to the federal government, veterans may be able to receive individual unemployment benefits if they are still able to hold sufficient gainful employment due to service-connected disabilities. The jury agreed with the prosecution that Harrell was still able to hold gainful employment, as demonstrated by his work at the veterans' club and his public appearances.

The Veterans Club was founded in January 2019 to help veterans through networking, healing, recovery, housing, support and job training.

Harrell faces up to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Sentencing is scheduled for December.
