Seven-time champions Borris-Ileigh will battle to avoid relegation from the Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship after their defeat to Drom-Inch last night.

At Holycross the score was 0-27 to 2-19, with the 2019 champions leading by nine points at half-time after scoring two goals in two minutes through Paddy McCormack.

Seeking to avoid the relegation playoffs themselves, Drom-Inch fought their way back into this third round derby led by talisman Seamus Callanan, and the former Tipp captain equalised within an hour.

Kevin Maher and David Collins exchanged points in injury time to level the tie, but it was Callanan's 12th and 13th points of the night that settled the contest in Drom-Inch's favour.
