Man and woman identified – NBC 6 South Florida

Police have identified the man who shot the mother of her three children in northwest Miami-Dade on Saturday morning and then shot himself while the children were home.

Marcos Antonio Gonzalez, 40, was identified as the gunman who killed Raiza Cajuso, 39. The two were in a relationship but were living separately and not together at the time of the shooting, police confirmed.

The fatal shooting occurred around 8:34 a.m. after Gonzalez showed up at the apartment in the 12000 block of West Randall Park Drive in Westview. He argued with Cajuso, police said, and shot her before committing suicide.

They had three children together, ages 15, 13 and 9, all of whom were at home at the time of the murder, Martin said.

The 15-year-old called 911, police said. The youngest was taken to the hospital as a precaution after witnessing the horrific incident.

“Our prayers are with this family and these children,” Martins said. “It is a very sad and unfortunate incident, and our investigators are doing everything they can to find out exactly what happened here.”

According to authorities, her parents died at the scene of the accident.
