Motorcyclist killed, accident under investigation

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Fort Walton Beach police say they are investigating after a motorcyclist was reportedly killed in an accident on Saturday.

Officials said around 5 p.m., a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Beal Parkway and Garnett Ave NE. They said the motorcyclist was traveling north on Beal Parkway and was crossing the intersection when the pickup truck turned left from Garnett Ave onto Beal Parkway.

When emergency responders arrived on scene, Fort Walton Beach police reported that motorcyclist Russell Jaques of Fort Walton Beach was pronounced dead at the scene.
