16-year-old arrested after quadruple murder in North Georgia

A 16-year-old is in custody for his role in a quadruple murder, the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office in Georgia said at a press conference on Sunday.

Authorities said there was also reason to believe that robbery was the motive for the shooting.

Late Saturday evening, four men were found shot dead in Whitfield County, Georgia.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, a manhunt for suspects is currently underway.

WTVC's Meg Doyle was live on the scene today and gave a summary of what we know so far.

According to a press release from the sheriff's office, officers responded to reports of shots fired in a park around 11:14 p.m. Saturday.

Officers found four dead men.

The sheriff's office is currently searching for an SUV-like vehicle and a dark-colored hatchback vehicle. They say the vehicles likely sustained gunshot wounds.
