The shooting is said to have occurred on Sunday afternoon in the Dunham Park area in the western part of the city.

The Dakota News Now team on the scene said police had set up barriers and cordoned off the park.

We have reached out to the Sioux Falls Police Department and are awaiting a response. At this time, these details have not been confirmed.

Our team also spoke to a witness who did not want to appear on camera. He said he overheard a conversation in which “Where's the money?” and “Get in the car” were uttered, and several shots were fired.

Meanwhile, a curfew has been imposed in downtown Sioux Falls in Avera McKennan.

We received a message from the hospital that the curfew began at around 5 p.m.

The person at the hospital said a non-emergency vehicle pulled into the emergency room and several gunshot victims got out.

Those present were informed over the loudspeaker that no one would be allowed in or out.

Outside the emergency room, officers and several residents were seen saying their family members were there.

At around 7 p.m., visitors were informed that they could leave the building but were not allowed back in.
