Topic publishes statement after stabbing at festival with three dead

Topic has released a statement in response to the stabbing at a festival in Germany on Friday evening in which three people were killed. I still can't believe it… What is happening to this world…

A few days after a knife attack at a festival in Germany that left three people dead, Topic published a statement on Instagram explaining his view of the incident. The festival took place in the city of Solingen. A 56-year-old woman, a 56-year-old man and a 57-year-old man died.

The Festival of Doom began in the city's central square, where several musicians performed to celebrate Solingen's 650th anniversary. The event was supposed to take place over the weekend, but has now been canceled. One of the musicians playing at the festival was world-famous DJ Topic, who was on stage during the attack. What was supposed to be a homecoming show for the Solingen native quickly turned into a nightmare when an attacker began randomly stabbing people in the crowd. In the Instagram post, he states that he was asked to keep playing music during the attack so as not to cause panic. However, after 10 minutes, he stopped the music and those present were informed of the incident.

According to news reports, witnesses began alerting police to the attacker after 9:30 a.m. CET. In addition to the three dead, eight people were injured, four of them seriously. Police have made two arrests so far, but a citywide manhunt is ongoing. Islamic State reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack and posted on Telegram that the attacker was a soldier of the group and was seeking revenge. Muslims in Palestine and around the world by targeting Christians.
