Fox’s Kilmeade accuses Kamala Harris of ‘stealing’ from Trump

Fox & Friends Co-moderator Brian Kilmeade argued on Monday that the patriotism and policies touted at the Democratic convention last week amounted to a “theft” from the Republican Party and Donald Trump.

During a discussion about former President Trump's possible withdrawal from his September 10 debate against the Vice President Kamala HarrisThe co-hosts turned their attention to Harris' promise to sit down for an interview before the end of August. Harris has been under pressure to meet with the press, having refused to give an interview or hold a news conference since rising to the top of the Democratic ticket. That has raised questions about her stance on the issues amid signs that she has moved to the center on issues such as border security, cracking down on crime and good, old-fashioned patriotism.

Kilmeade argued that this is how Harris' campaign is stealing from Republicans. He claimed the “most egregious example” was Harris' proposal not to tax tips, a plan that Trump first proposed:

I think people are going to look closely at what she stands for because you can't even dispute what she stands for because you don't know which Kamala Harris you're fighting against. Are you fighting the Vice President? Are you fighting the Senator or are you fighting against this new person who is running with Donald Trump's themes of strong border security, fighting crime, strong defense, red, white and blue? Excuse me? It's like David Plouffe came in and said, “The reason Trump is so popular is because of these things. So let's give them to Harris.” And I think the most egregious example was the tips. But I didn't realize that this was the tip of the iceberg of theft from the Republican Party.
