Prosecutors release new details in unsolved 2020 Rochester murder case

Investigators now believe that a 19-year-old man from Rochester who was found shot to death four years ago was the victim of a burglary and subsequent robbery. They are asking the public for help.

Michael Mowry III was found in his apartment in the early hours of August 30, 2020, after his roommates called 911. According to newly released information from the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office, a vehicle used by four masked individuals to flee the scene has been identified, and the men suspected of being responsible for the murder have ties to the greater Haverhill, Massachusetts area.

Authorities did not provide any information about the vehicle or how they obtained new information on the case, but urge anyone with information to contact the Rochester CrimeLine at 603-335-6500 or text “Text4cash” to 274637. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.

According to investigators, Mowry's roommates at the time cooperated throughout the investigation and are therefore not considered suspects.

In a press release, Aimee Lussier, Mowry's mother, spoke about the impact the murder had on her family.

“The pain of his murder was unbearable and made worse by the fact that we don't know who did it or why,” she said.
