New information released on RTC bus crash in downtown Reno | Local news

The Washoe County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) has released new information regarding the accident involving a bus and a truck that occurred Sunday evening, August 25.

According to surveillance camera footage from the RTC's Fourth Street Station, a truck ran a red light and struck the RTC bus. Reno Police and Fire Departments responded to the incident.

The report states that two people were treated at the scene and both drivers had to be taken to hospital.

The bus driver was released from the hospital.

Reno Police are actively investigating the incident.

Reno Police and Fire Departments are on scene of an accident involving a truck and an RTC bus near the bowling stadium and bus station downtown.

According to our on-site emergency team, five people were taken to hospital. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

Among the five arrested were the driver of the pickup truck and four people from the bus.
