New London woman in Marion County Jail after Sunday night stabbing – Muddy River News

HANNIBAL, Missouri – A New London woman accused of a stabbing attack is in Marion County Jail.

The 10th The Marion County District Court issued an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Olivia A. Malone of New London on Monday, August 26, charging her with first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.

The charges stem from an incident that began around 11:19 p.m. on Sunday, August 25. Hannibal police responded to a report of an assault with a knife in the 400 block of Edwards. The suspect was not at the scene and the victim was transported to an area hospital via private vehicle.

Officers found witnesses who said a verbal argument between Malone and the victim led to Malone stabbing the victim. Ralls County Sheriff's officers found Malone and took her into custody without incident.

Malone was turned over to Hannibal Police Department investigators. After questioning, she was taken to the Marion County Jail. Malone's bail is set at $100,000. The victim was flown to another hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
