Mk.gee glides through a delicate atmosphere with “Lonely Fight”

Chances are these two things happened to you sometime in 2024: You made out with someone in Chappell Roan, and someone you trusted told you to check Mk.gee. Both situations have made you a better person.

We're leaning on this Mk.gee point here, as the New Jersey-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, music producer and multi-instrumentalist dropped a dreamy new song called “Lonely Fight” this past Friday (August 23). The smoky, meandering track glides through a delicate atmosphere with ease and arrives ahead of a fall tour of North America that sees him at Boston's House of Blues on September 25.

It's a fitting anecdote, as “Lonely Fight” was a fan favorite on Mk.gee's spring tour, where attendees learned the lyrics through live videos posted online. Mk.gee was on the road to promote the album, released in February. Two Star and the Dream Policeand his reputation continues to rise, with praise from the likes of Justin Vernon, SZA and Eric Clapton.
