Freedom rally planned at Oakwood Park in Lorain

Held at the Oakwood Park Pavilion, 2047 E. 36th St., the Freedom Rally: A Forum for the Betterment of Lorain County will feature the voices of Lorain County's next generation of leaders, a news release said.

This event, which will take place on August 31 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., will provide residents the opportunity to engage with candidates and community leaders committed to a better future for Lorain and Lorain County, the press release said.

Freedom Rally participants are asked to bring their lawn chairs and blankets as there is limited seating available, the press release said.

The event promises to be an inspiring afternoon of discussions and community connections, the press release states.

Speakers include Lorain County Commissioner Dave Moore, who is running for re-election, Jack Hall, candidate for Lorain County Sheriff, Pastor Kyriece Brooks of Lorain and Bernie Moreno, candidate for U.S. Senate, the release said.

The Freedom Rally is not a political rally, but an opportunity for citizens to connect with leaders who are challenging the status quo and working for change, the press release said.

“Whether you want to participate in in-depth discussions about the future of Lorain or simply meet like-minded people, this is an event you can't miss,” the press release said. “Join us at the Oakwood Park Pavilion and join the conversations that will shape the future of Lorain County.”
