Sidney “Sid” Raymond Eudy, known by his ring names Sid Justice, Sid Vicious and Sycho Sid, has died at the age of 63 after a years-long battle with cancer. The WWE star's death was confirmed by his family in a statement released on Monday. Eudy leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Sabrina Paige, and sons Gunnar and Frank.

Sid Eudy dies at the age of 63 after years of battling cancer

Gunnar Eudy announced his father's death in a Facebook post, saying, “I am deeply saddened to announce that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years.” Gunnar called him “a man full of strength, kindness and love,” adding that Sid's “presence will be greatly missed.”

“We thank you for your thoughts and prayers as we mourn this loss. Details of a memorial service will be announced shortly. Thank you for your support,” the statement concluded. Eudy was a two-time world champion in the WWF (now WWE) and WCW and was also a two-time USWA heavyweight champion.

Considering Eudy's decades-long wrestling career, WWE expressed its “sadness” over his tragic death. “WWE is saddened to hear of the passing of Sid Eudy. WWE extends its condolences to Eudy's family, friends and fans,” the production company said in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Sid Eudy's tragic death continues

Shortly after news of Eudy's death broke, social media messages of condolence poured in from the wrestling community. Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. Huffman wrote on X: “Without Sid Vicious, my brother and I probably wouldn't have made it to WCW. His impact on this business was undeniable and he paved the way for so many of us. My deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time. #RIPSid”

American professional wrestler Marc Mero wrote: “So sad to hear that my friend and wrestling superstar Sid Eudy (Sid Vicious & Sid Justice) has passed away from cancer at the age of 63. He was one of the first wrestlers I wrestled with when I auditioned for WCW. What a great guy. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and his millions of fans.”
