Which players were released after the previous season?

The Kansas City Chiefs had to part ways with many talented players today and more are expected on Tuesday before the mandatory deadline to select the 53-man roster.

Pro Bowl players like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Trent McDuffie and Chris Jones were obviously unaffected by Monday's wave of layoffs, but others who weren't as established on Kansas City's roster were not. While layoffs are nothing new in late August, fans saw some Chiefs hopefuls exposed to the NFL waiver system, which could mean they find a new team this week.

With the 2024 season set to begin on September 5, Kansas City had to make some early decisions that will lay the foundation for the team's hopes of a third consecutive win in the new year.
