A dog's vigilance sheds light on tragic discovery at Bang Saray restaurant
Panda, a mixed-breed dog, remains vigilant by the deceased man's side in a bamboo hut at a Bang Saray restaurant, complicating the authorities' rescue operation.

BANG SARAY, Thailand – Authorities found the body of an unidentified man in a bamboo hut near a restaurant on Road 332 in Bang Saray. It contained an unusual and poignant detail: A mixed-breed dog named “Panda” remained faithfully by the deceased's side.

The man was discovered lying on a seat with a bottle of 40-degree liquor next to him. The dog, white with black spots and estimated to be 2 to 3 years old, was noticeably dirty and unkempt. Panda's protective instincts made it difficult for the rescue team to get to the body, as the dog barked aggressively at anyone who approached. The team had to carefully lure Panda away before they could recover the body.

The restaurant owner explained that the man was a homeless man who had taken pity on the man and found shelter in the restaurant. The owner provided him with food and water. A passerby who noticed the man's death alerted the owner, who then notified the authorities.

An initial investigation of the crime scene revealed no signs of foul play. The deceased was taken to Sattahip Km. 10 Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Police are now trying to locate the man's relatives for further investigation and legal action.
