Man arrested after allegedly attacking multiple people downtown – NBC10 Philadelphia

A man faces multiple charges after attacking several people in downtown Philadelphia on Monday morning.

Donnell Bruce, 36, was charged with aggravated assault, robbery, simple assault and other related offenses.

Officials said Bruce was positively identified as the man who “attacked three elderly individuals, two women and one man, by throwing them to the ground in an unprovoked attack near the 2200 block of Market Street.”

According to Philadelphia police, these attacks occurred on August 26 at around 7:15 a.m.

After the first attack, police said, the man continued west on Market Street and attacked a 22-year-old woman, punching her in the face and knocking her to the ground. He then attempted to steal a bag from a 77-year-old man, who he also punched in the face.

Officers were able to locate Bruce and arrest him after a short foot chase, police said.

All victims suffered minor injuries.
