Off-duty Cranston officer allegedly urinated on woman at Kenny Chesney concert

Foxborough police said a man was arrested after allegedly urinating on a woman's leg during the Kenny Chesney concert at Gillette Stadium on Saturday.

Police said they were called to the concert's sandpit around 9:15 p.m. after a report of a man urinating on a woman's shoes.

Shane Lynch, the officer accused of the crime, was a Cranston police officer and was off duty at the time of the incident, police said.

According to officers, the woman felt a warm liquid touch her leg. When she turned around, she told police she saw Lynch standing behind her.

According to the police report, the victim said Lynch had unzipped his shorts and was seen urinating on her boots.

Foxborough police said the woman alerted security.

According to police, Lynch appeared to be very drunk when they approached him.

Lynch was charged with disturbing the peace and causing damage to property.

In a statement to NBC 10 News, Cranston Police Chief Michael Winquist described the incident as a personnel matter and declined to provide further details.

“We are aware of the arrest and will handle the matter administratively,” Winquist said.

Lynch agreed to pay $100 in court costs to have the lawsuit dismissed.

He was also banned from the stadium by stadium security.
