Police investigate firearm use and possible driving aggression incident in Waldorf – Southern Maryland News NetOn Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 9:28 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at EMS 3 in Waldorf.

When officers arrived, they learned that the victim was a passenger in a car driven by an acquaintance traveling on Route 5 near Post Office Road in Waldorf.

A vehicle approached them, the driver flashed his lights and honked his horn. The vehicle turned onto Industrial Park Drive and stopped.

The victim pulled up next to the car, whereupon the driver of the other vehicle fired a shot, hitting the victim in the leg. The driver, who was accompanying the victim, drove her to a nearby emergency station where she was treated.

The detectives assigned to the criminal investigation department responded.
