Melbourne police identify suspect arrested after stabbing at Palm Bay High School on Monday
Melbourne police announced on Tuesday that the results of the investigation into the stabbing incident at Palm Bay High School had shown sufficient suspicion to arrest 18-year-old Dominick Glasco.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Melbourne police announced Tuesday that results of the investigation into the stabbing incident at Palm Bay High School have revealed probable cause for the arrest of 18-year-old Dominick Glasco.

Glasco was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (felony) and disruption of a school function (misdemeanor).

He was treated and released for injuries sustained in the incident and turned over to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office for charges.

The victim's condition is currently classified as serious but stable.

The injuries are not considered life-threatening at this time.

After the incident, the school was cordoned off.

“At around 1pm, two students from Palm Bay High were involved in an altercation,” said a Melbourne police spokesman.

“During the incident, one student suffered a stab wound to the abdomen and the other had a cut on his hand. Both parties were identified and taken to different hospitals and are in stable condition.”

According to Brevard Public Schools, the threat was over by 2:23 p.m. and classes ended as usual.
