Rod Stewart will release his Christmas album on vinyl for the first time in 2012.

Merry Christmas, babywhich features Rod's interpretation of holiday classics such as “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” “Santa Claus is Coming To Town,” “White Christmas” and others, will be released on two LPs on Blue Ice vinyl on October 4th.

The vinyl record also includes two bonus tracks that previously appeared on the deluxe edition of the album: cover versions of “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)” and “Silver Bells”.

The vinyl set, titled Merry Christmas, Baby (Anniversary Edition), is available for pre-order Now.

Originally published in October 2012, Merry Christmas, babywas a top 10 hit for Rod, reaching number 3 on the Billboard 200 album charts. It includes collaborations with Mary J. Blige, Chris Botti, Michael Buble, sara Green and more.
