Accident in West Salem leads to closure of Highway 22

Salem police said traffic was being diverted via Wallace Road NW to Edgewater Street.

One person was taken to hospital.

According to the Oregon Department of Transportation's TripCheck, the accident was reported at 2:35 p.m.

ODOT advised drivers to take an alternate route as the closure could last into the evening rush hour.
