Miami man reunited with judge/classmate in trouble…again

So what do we have here? The burglary suspect who went viral nearly a decade ago, he is now back in prison for similar crimes after his emotional reunion with his judge.

The last time we saw Arthur Nathaniel Booth was seen in a 2015 video of himself standing before Miami-Dade Judge Mindy Glazer, who was charged with burglary and grand theft. During his bail hearing Glazer offered kind words of encouragement after recognizing Booth from the Nautilus Middle School classroom.

“I always wondered what happened to you, the nicest kid in middle school,” Glazer said in the video. “Good luck. I hope you come out of this unscathed and live a law-abiding life.”

Almost instantly, Booth's broad grin turned to loud sobs. “Oh my goodness,” he repeated. The two reunited in 2016 when Booth was released after ten months in prison after completing a court program.

“She is an inspiration and motivation for me right now. Seeing Mindy is incredible because I knew where I could have been,” he said. He promised Glazer that he would not abandon her and would start a new life of sobriety. Miami police said Eight years later, he was arrested again on a series of new charges.

Status was in connection with a number of crimes in August, the department said. In one case, police said, he knocked on a person's door while posing as a water inspector. After gaining entry to the home, he snooped around and stole jewelry before fleeing. In another case, Police say Booth posed as a plumber and stole a chain from a victim before fleeing. Booth has also been linked to other chain thefts.

“Such a person must be behind bars,” police spokesman Freddie Cruz said in a statement.

Last week, Booth was charged with multiple counts of burglary and assault. It is unclear whether Booth abused drugs, as he was previously accused of, but he was denied bail, according to jail records. It is unclear whether he will end up before Judge Glazer again.
