The incident sparked a huge outcry from fans, who claimed it was extremely rude of Ye to interrupt Swift's speech. However, it seemed like West had a blast, as he recreated the scene at the 2015 Grammys, this time with Beck.

At the 2015 Grammys, Beck's Morning Phase won the award for Best Album of the Year, beating out Beyoncé. Everything was going well until the audience saw Ye storm the stage. Although Kanye West returned to the microphone without saying a word, viewers immediately understood that this was a reference to his highly controversial performance in 2009.

While the rapper's imitation mostly sparked loud laughter from the audience, fans noticed that Jay Z's reaction was downright funny.
