Second suspect arrested in connection with 2023 murder

A second person was arrested in connection with a murder in November 2023.

De'Shaun McCrimmon, 22, was charged with first-degree murder for his role in the shooting death of 20-year-old Orlando Alexander Satz Jr., the police statement said.

Satz Jr. died on November 28, 2023, after he crashed his car into a parked vehicle on Spruell Drive. The Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service (MCFRS) arrived at the scene and found apparent gunshot wounds.

Jose Ramon Ventura was arrested on June 20, 2024, and charged with aiding and abetting McCrimmon and another person believed to be responsible for Satz's death, police said.

On August 24, investigators requested and obtained a warrant for McCrimmon's arrest, charging him with first-degree murder. He was arrested in Silver Spring on August 27 and is currently being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit awaiting a bail hearing.
