Martin Police Department responds to semi-trailer accident

MARTIN, Tenn. (KFVS) – A trailer was damaged when it overturned on North Lindell Street in Martin, Tennessee.

According to a Martin Police Department accident report, Patrolman Samuel Anderson responded to a car accident at 841 North Lindell Street at 9:02 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27.

Upon arrival, Anderson made contact with the driver of a 2022 Freightliner semi-truck. The driver, 48-year-old James A. Miller of Huntingdon, Tennessee, stated he was traveling south on North Lindell and stopped in the turning lane. He said he turned left and was traveling east on the Highway 45 ramp.

Miller said his load shifted as he began to turn, causing the trailer to tip over.

Ptl. Anderson observed the truck and trailer and said the trailer was on its right side and still attached to the truck. The truck was still upright on the road.

The truck did not appear to be damaged, but the trailer had damage to the front frame. Both the truck and trailer were driven off the roadway.

According to Martin police, no injuries were reported and Miller did not commit any traffic violations in connection with the accident.
