K-pop idol Taeil removed from his group NCT after allegations of sexual assault

A K-pop superstar was kicked out of his band after a case of sexual assault against him came to light. Teen Vogue reports that NCT immediately severed ties with Taeil, aka Moon Taeil, after management learned that Taeil, aka Moon Taeil, had been charged. “This is SM Entertainment. We recently learned that Taeil has been charged in a criminal case related to a sexual offense. When we assessed the facts surrounding the matter, we recognized the seriousness of the situation and concluded that Taeil can no longer continue his activities with the team (NCT). After consulting with Taeil, we have decided on his departure from the group,” reads a translated version of SM Entertainment's statement on Wednesday. The company points out that Taeil is “fully cooperating with the authorities.” Since the news broke, disappointed fans have flooded the comments on Taeil's Instagram to express their disappointment. “This proves once again that we don't know her other than her idol personality and can't trust ANYONE,” wrote one fan.
