Four people arrested after fight on basketball court with firearms, one wanted

Police arrested four men and are still searching for a fifth suspect after a basketball game in Monroe County in June turned into a brawl with gun threats.

According to the Pocono Township Police Department, officers were called to the TLC Park basketball court on July 8 for a report of a fight and gunfire. An altercation reportedly occurred between eight men.

Police said they identified four men as the attackers, one of whom was brandishing a gun. All fled the scene in a vehicle driven by Damond Brantley, who had previously been charged in the incident.

The handgun used in the incident was also confiscated.

Investigators identified and charged the other suspects: Ephram Mercado, Ethan Mercado and Josiah Otero-Acevedo. All were charged with riot, simple assault and disturbing the peace.

Ephram Mercado and Josiah Otero-Acevedo were taken into custody, while police are still searching for Ethan Mercado, who allegedly pulled out the gun.
