The San Jose woman who died in a wrong-way driving accident on Monday was identified by the coroner on Wednesday.

She was identified by the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office as 47-year-old Rebecca Olsen of San Jose.

The 14-year-old boy who died in the crash and was in the same vehicle as Olsen has not been identified.

At around 3:40 p.m. on Monday, the California Highway Patrol received its first calls about a pick-up truck racing in the wrong direction on Highway 85 north, near Saratoga Avenue.

About ten minutes later, the truck driver collided with a Tesla. Olsen and her 14-year-old passenger were killed in the accident.

Police identified the suspect in the wrong-way driving accident as 39-year-old Duncan McQuarrie. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The CHP said Tuesday that he was still in the hospital and that it would recommend to the district attorney that he file manslaughter charges.
