San Jose: Watsonville man caught in sex crimes investigation – Santa Cruz Sentinel

SAN JOSE – A 32-year-old Watsonville man was among four people arrested this week by a San Jose Police Department task force on charges of attempting to meet minors for sexual purposes.

The department's Internet Crimes Against Children/Child Exploitation Unit conducted a raid where four men, including Jonathan Nunez of Watsonville, were communicating online with people they believed to be minors, the agency said. Police arrested Nunez on Aug. 13 in San Jose.

Also arrested were Carlos Mendez, 37, of Hayward, Christopher Roark, 23, of Antioch and Christopher Hus, 35, of Los Gatos. Three of the men, including Nunez, were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on charges of attempting to have sex with a minor. Hus allegedly fled from police and was later arrested in Union City with the help of the California Highway Patrol. He was later booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on charges of multiple felonies related to attempting to have sex with a minor.
