Andrews man arrested for alleged sexual abuse of minor: WCSO

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A 54-year-old Andrews man was arrested Thursday by the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office on sexual assault charges.

William Brian McCants has two pending charges filed by the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office for third-degree sexual abuse, law enforcement said.

Investigators with the Williamsburg County Sheriff's Office filed charges against McCants based on a July 7 investigation. McCants is accused of inappropriately touching a 10-year-old girl at a residence in Williamsburg County, according to a sheriff's office news release.

McCants was arrested and taken to the Georgetown County Detention Center before being transferred to the Williamsburg County Detention Center to face his respective charges.
