U.S. Soldiers assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 65th Medical Brigade, prepare to transport a simulated casualty during a field exercise at the 121st Field Hospital, Rodriguez Live Fire Complex, South Korea, Aug. 26, 2024. Medical Soldiers trained to transport and treat casualties in a field environment. They were supported by a rescue helicopter from the 3-2 General Support Aviation Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. The exercise was conducted as part of Ulchi Freedom Shield 24, one of the largest U.S.-Republic of Korea training events. UFS24 presents complex challenges to the Republic of Korea-U.S. alliance and includes comprehensive debriefings to ensure continuous improvement. This iterative annual event strengthens security and stability on the Korean Peninsula and throughout Northeast Asia.
