NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) – A suspect in connection with a shooting that police say left a North Miami Beach store clerk dead is facing charges.

William Robinson appeared in court on Wednesday morning. The 23-year-old is facing several charges, including first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm.

According to North Miami Beach police, the incident occurred on June 11 at around 9:45 p.m. at Miami Cloudz Smoke Shop, 2063 NE 163 St.

Surveillance video showed four men in the store. One of them was Robinson, according to police.

When the victim turned around to get something, one of the suspects, wearing a red hoodie, pulled out a gun and ordered him not to move.

“Don’t move, don’t move,” the man said.

The sales clerk did not comply with the request and was shot by the armed perpetrator on his way to the back of the store.

After the shooting, all four men ran out of the store.

Despite emergency medical treatment, the employee did not survive. He was later identified as 35-year-old Salem Albakri.

The other three men involved in the shooting were not found.

If you have any information about this shooting or the whereabouts of the suspects, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
