Darshan's wife Vijayalakshmi in trouble after his transfer to Bellary Central Jail

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, an accused in the Renuka Swamy murder case, has been shifted from Bengaluru Central Jail to Bellary Central Jail. The 24th Deputy Chief Metropolitan Magistrate has ordered the transfer. This has now reportedly added to the trouble for his wife Vijayalakshmi Darshan.

She reportedly visited Bengaluru Central Jail twice to meet Darshan and her son Vineesh Thoogudeep. Now that the woman accused of Renuka Swamy's murder is being shifted to Bellary Central Jail, it will reportedly be difficult for her to travel such a huge distance. Reportedly, it will take her 11 hours to reach Bellary Central Jail.

Recently, a picture of Darshan went viral in which he is seen hanging out on the lawn of Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in Karnataka with three others, including a violent bedsheet shifter. In the photo, Darshan is seen with Wilson Garden Naga and the other inmates are Nagaraj (the actor's manager and co-accused) and Kulla Seena, a convict in a murder case. This photo triggered a huge uproar over the alleged special treatment given to the 47-year-old actor. In the photo, the 47-year-old actor is seen sitting on a chair, smoking a cigarette and holding a coffee cup. Moreover, an alleged video of Darshan talking to a person through video call from the jail has surfaced on social media.

“We have requested an inquiry into the Darshan case. Nine people, including the superintendent of the prison, have been suspended. If anyone else needs to be suspended, we will do so,” Prime Minister Siddaramaiah was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

Darshan has been in judicial custody for a long time in the Renuka Swamy murder case. Renuka Swamy, a fan of Darshan, was kidnapped from Chitradurga on June 8, 2024. He was allegedly brutally tortured to death by the 47-year-old actor and his aides for posting objectionable comments about the main accused in the case, Pavithra Gowda. Darshan is rumoured to be having an affair with Pavithra Gowda, a fashion designer.
