Kinston police investigate shooting — Neuse News

On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at approximately 11:21 p.m., Kinston Police officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in Building 15 of the Mitchell Wooten complex. Upon arrival, officers located Sylvester Arrington, 36, of Kinston, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Arrington, who is not a resident of Mitchell Wooten, was initially transported to UNC Lenoir and later flown by helicopter to ECU Health for further treatment. He is currently being treated for serious injuries.

The Kinston Police Department is actively investigating this incident. Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
