DOVER-FOXCROFT – Piscataquis Observer, June 30, 1881 “Frightful murder at Parkman. A deaf-mute named Chadbourne hacks Alvin Watson to pieces! Fifty lacerations inflicted.”

DOVER-FOXCROFT – Piscataquis Observer, June 30, 1881 “Frightful murder at Parkman. A deaf-mute named Chadbourne hacks Alvin Watson to pieces! Fifty cuts are inflicted on him. The body is dragged into the back yard. Horrible revelations!” Thus occurred the first murder in Piscataquis County.
