Battle Mars game between Parchment and Comstock

PARCHMENT, Michigan – The Parchment School District is praising the response of district officials after a brawl near the end zone following Thursday night's game against Comstock.

The district said both students and adults were involved in the altercation, but no weapons were found and no injuries were reported.

On social media on Friday morning, the school announced possible consequences for people involved in altercations at school events:

“Participating in school sporting events is a privilege. It is vital for all spectators and guests to conduct themselves safely and orderly at school events. Any violation of these rules will result in disqualification from future sporting events, as the safety of our staff, students and community members is our top priority.”

The students were briefly detained at the school while staff and local police deescalated the situation.
