The incredible Avani Lekhara won her second consecutive Paralympic Games gold medal in the women's 10m air rifle shooting (SH1) event on Friday, while her compatriot Mona Agarwal took bronze. Avani, 22, who won gold at the Tokyo Paralympics three years ago, shot a superb 249.7 points, breaking her own record of 249.6 points set in the Japanese capital, while Mona, who took up shooting in 2022, scored 228.7 points for the bronze medal.
