Visitors to a concert in Hamden had to witness terrible scenes: Rapper Fatman Scoop is said to have suddenly collapsed on stage.

There is great concern for the US rapper Fatman Scoop (53): The New York native, who was born as Isaac Freeman III, is said to have collapsed during a performance, according to information from the portal “TMZ”. He had to be resuscitated and was transported to a hospital.

According to the report, the incident occurred on Friday (August 30) at Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut. The musician is said to have suddenly fainted on stage and collapsed. Authorities confirmed to “TMZ” that there was a medical emergency at around 8:30 p.m. Hamden's mayor Lauren Garrett announced on social media that the rapper was being taken to the hospital by ambulance. According to “TMZ”, she wrote: “Please think of him and pray for him.”

The portal also published a video in which medical staff can be seen performing CPR on a person behind the DJ booth. According to eyewitnesses, this person was the rapper. He was then transported from the stage in a tragic manner. There was initially no confirmation of the incident from a spokesman for the musician.

Fatman Scoop has already worked with many big names in hip-hop, such as Missy Elliott (53) and Mariah Carey (55).
